IAME 175- Approved for MSA racing

IAME 175 super shifter has been approved for MSA racing. The class will run with in the open 250 National class as a super stock category, for the rest of the 2015 season the class will not race for points or prizes but for 2016 it will run as full championship with some fantastic prizes to be won including entry to the ever growing IAME International Final.

IMPORTANT– Information for all competitors.  The 5th round of the LGM series at Buckmore Park will be using a nominated petrol station the details are as follows:-

The only petrol permitted for this round is 95 Ron unleaded and the chosen oil is Shell ‘M’ (Cadets only, X30 oil is as per regulation).  A sample will be taken and measured against the datum purchased.

Lancaster to race at Kart Masters!!

With entries rolling in for the MSA Kartmasters British Kart Grand Prix, Jon Lancaster, hot from driving at Le Mans and in GP2 last weekend at Silverstone, returns to his Karting routes and enters Kartmasters 2015 in X30 Senior!

SHENINGTON LOOK TO INCREASE X30 GRIDS

Shenington KRC is looking forward to hosting a round of the Little Green Man IAME Cadet championship and the X30 Tour on 19/20 September and offer pre event practice on the following dates:

Friday and Saturday practice open to all on 14 and 15 August and the race meeting on 16 August.  We will offer discounted membership rates to all X30 entries of £90 for both Saturday practice and Sunday race.

And we have put on a special extra test day on Tuesday 1st September, hopefully still in the school holidays.

 

The arrangements for the LGM/X30 Tour are:

 

Parking: Grandstand Field is exclusively for LGM Cadet and X30 Tour (weather permitting)

Timetable Saturday

0900 Practice starts on Saturday at 0900 for all classes with LGM Cadet out first.  There will be a £10 discount on normal practice fees.  Practice finishes around 1530/1600.

1530 approx -1600: Scrutineering and Heats for LGM IAME Cadet and X30 Junior and Senior

Timetable Sunday

0745 Scrutineering for all classes (optionally Saturday evening) other than LGM and X30

0930 Practice for all classes then heats and finals for all classes. Normal 3 heats and a final, rolling starts for all direct drive classes, standing starts for gearbox.

X30 Junior and Senior: All X30 entries will be run together, whether in the Tour or club entries and therefore the races will count for the Shenington Club Championship.

 

We are also offering a special discount voucher to all X30 entries at the Tour.

 

In addition for the Shenington SuperPrix on 17-19 July we are offering the Junior and Senior X30 classes with our famous perpetual SuperPrix trophy (although due to MSA rules we cannot offer the E Plate in these classes).  IAME Cadet will be eligible for the new MSA E Plate and SuperPrix trophy.  Optional practice is on Friday 17 July and is open to all usual classes whether entered in the SuperPrix or not.  The 2 day race meeting starts on Saturday morning with scrutineering at 0800, then practice through to a late lunch break followed by heats for most drivers.  Sunday will have the remainder of the heats and the grand finals.  Each lunchtime and Friday and Saturday evening will see on track demonstrations from members of the British Historic Kart Club and The Legends. On Saturday evening there is the usual pig roast, salad, bar and live music.  All drivers entered will receive a free ticket and additional tickets can be purchased at £7.  The bar will also be open on Friday evening.
