Kimbolton Hosts their first Club Meeting of the Year

Kimbolton (Hunts kart club) hosed their first club meeting of the year, which had a healthy grid of IAME.  even through the wether threatened luck was on our side and graced us with dry track all day, with the 2 heat seeing different drives taking the top spots, it set up for a close in the final to the flag.

By mid race the first three had broken from the pack, and now the fun started, with the lead changing several times on the closing staged, it left some jaw dropping racing, leaving us with a almost a photo finish. But in the end it was Tyler Chesterton a hair width from Sean Butcher and Mario Mills.

IAME Uk Representative that attend the meeting, said “the support of the class is incredible, and another race passes with no problems, from the out sent this was our goal to offer a reliable easy to use engine for dad and lad, and with the smiles on the IAME competitors faces I think we are well on the way to achieving this.

The other part that has been good to see at the the first two races, is how the Scrutineers have in braced the challenge, not only with their attendance at the seminar, but the pro-active approach at the track”.

Fantastic Start for the IAME GAZELLE at PFI

The season got of to a fantastic start for the IAME Gazelle engine at PFI with 40 drivers wanting to compete in the first race for the new class. IAME’s UK representative James Mills quoted “it was so pleasing to see such a strong support with lots of new faces coming from as far a field a Ireland, and some of the more established drives like Tom Wood Comer PFI club champion and Kieran Jewiss front running Honda driver all choosing IAME for their future racing”.

Although the weather played a major part, we were still treated to some close exciting racing with heat placing coming from a mixture of drivers. In the end it was Tom Wood that came out on top, put on an ever changing track he was put under pressure by Alex McDade then Ethan Hawkey followed closely by the next several places.  Finally James would like to thank all competitors for making this a memorable occasion, and of course a big thanks to the TVKC team for hosting a 1st class event.
